I'm from a rural background, so hobbits and their little societies come very naturally to me. I live contentedly with family in the woods of the northern Pacific coast, where I keep a garden, fruit trees and livestock. I'm fond of fixing up cheap government auction computers-- the faithful machine I currently use for everything cost a whopping $1.00. I have done factory and crowd work, picked berries for fruit packers, managed rental houses, been a college student, and am currently a graphic artist for an independent movie studio. Five years ago a serious illness severely curtailed my activities, leaving me with little I could do. At that point I decided to make lemonade out of lemons and began studying the graphic arts very intensely, resulting in the outpouring of a lot of new work and the eventual necessity of this journal :)

NOTE: This is the journal of a RUBE who happened to read a good book. My origins are as hickish as can be. I do not say this as an excuse for ignorance, but just to let folks know that I am somewhat socially inept. I don't intentionally insult people, so if you find yourself upset in one way or another by something I've written, it's most likely just some kind of error on my part that I didn't even see. Don't take it personally.
