"River Horses"

Starring Harry the Hivewire Horse, by far the finest (inexpensive) horse model ever made.  I haven't used him enough, but that will change.  :)

Rendered in DAZ Studio and finished in GIMP.  

The horses look too solid in this image.  I tried rendering them with all kinds of materials and transparencies, but nothing looked good, so I finally just settled on this.  At least it conveys the idea, sort of  :)

And yes, I know there are no unicorns in Middle-Earth!  I was just being a butt about it  :D

If the Professor could casually mention coffee and pop-guns in The Hobbit, anything is possible in Middle-earth. Why couldn't there be a unicorn or two frolicking about somewhere? I love that idea. This is lovely.

I so agree about the unicorns, though I usually put them in Valinor because Tolkien tells us that there are creatures in Valinor not seen in Middle-Earth. :) Besides, the Legendarium is one of those rare creations that just keeps on growing! :)
