Bag End Under Snow :)
Jan. 6th, 2018 08:23 amInspired by the recent weather. "Whatever are you doing out there in the cold, Sam? The garden's asleep this time of year! Come in, come in! There's a good supper almost ready, and we can sit by the fire and read a book about elves!"
This pic was more interesting to make than it might appear. I've been exploring the newest version of DAZ Studio, which is now incorporating geoshells. This means that the shape of any object can be replicated as a second layer, upon which various FX can be added. The original model can be seen at the link below and was never designed to be a snow scene, but using the new tech and some ABR brushes I was able to fake it :D (Animal tracks by brusheezy.com)

Date: 2018-01-10 05:18 pm (UTC)The warm reds behind the open door were more or less accidental. The house model is a facade only, and on my first render I discovered the background trees were showing through the windows and door! So I created a flat plane, applied a reddish tone to it, and set it a little behind the facade to represent the interior of the house.
