"Rescue Me" Angels
Apr. 6th, 2018 09:08 pmSo here's another image from that strange series I did last week. One of the most quintessential aspects of Sam/Frodo-- someone always needs rescuing, and usually it seems to be Frodo! :D
(Maybe that's why I particularly enjoy fics where Sam is the one needing help? Their relationship has always felt a bit lopsided to me that way. I Love Love Love seeing Frodo come to Sam's rescue-- but I didn't do that here!)
In other news, Mom and I have gotten almost half the garden dug. It's not a big plot-- about 25 X 30-- but the way we both stagger about so, it's a wonder we've managed that much! ^^; And today was the first day I've had to turn on my AC window unit. It's a tiny one-- 5000 BTU's-- for my tiny room, which measures 10 X 12. I was nearly panicking for a minute as I'd snapped suddenly out of my crowdworking reverie realizing I was beginning to overheat, but fortunately the AC was plugged in and ready to go.
iRay has been steadily occupying my thoughts of late. Its potential is enormous. I've done some experimenting with lights, and discovered that if the usual point lights are converted to meshes it creates wonderful soft shadows and edges and a materials effect that looks a bit like a classical painting. Now I'm working on some truly lovely closeups. I've discovered a whole new style for a new series of F/S pics which are deeply romantic and sweet-- I'm pretty excited with this innovation! Hopefully I'll get something out of it that I can share with you! :)
