On a lighter note...
Oct. 28th, 2017 03:35 pmJust thought I would draw attention here to the Schleich "Bayala" line of "Elfen." I have been collecting these for awhile now and they grow more on me every day!
These beautiful hand painted figures are fairly small, with the horses maybe 6" long, but they are rich in detail. They are both figurines and toys, designed in Germany by excellent artists. The line originated in 2007 and has an authentic feel, even if these elves have wings. They are made of a very heavy, high quality plastic and would be very difficult to break, so as collectibles I don't have to worry about fragility.
These are normally quite spendy for their size, but eBay and Amazon do have some great deals. I got this pair for about $6.50 each. In my little fantasy world they have become the Valinorean version of Celebrian and Elrond, respectively! :)
Now if I could only find some hobbits that match! :)
