More Schleich 'Elfen' :)

I am having so much fun with these :D
So having collected six 'tall' elves and five horses, all of which my fertile imagination are labeling as inhabitants of Valinor, it was time for me to try to approximate Frodo and Sam as my Christmas present to myself.
You don't really think I would be so interested in Valinor elves if it weren't for those two ending up somewhere over there? Therefore they needed some representation in my collection. Staying with the same brand, this little pair is what I came up with.
Yes, one is a girl. But she's got a fairly close likeness to my personal view of Frodo (for whom I always use female base models, because they are more fey-looking.) And the book sealed the deal!
Besides, true love knows no gender :)
What's more amazing is that the greenery-themed boy elf has his hair parted the same way I envisioned Sam's :)
The Pegasus in the background (who is standing in for Shadowfax) has the most lovely wings, with high quality glitter in the paint. I couldn't get a good photo of it, but that horse sparkles in the sunlight as if he is truly covered in diamonds!

Date: 2017-12-08 07:21 am (UTC)I know, wherever the hobbits are is where it's most fun to be. The Professor's vision of the West is so incredibly beautiful, but to me it seems incomplete without hobbits being there. When I view it through their eyes it becomes an endless playground, with creatures and landscapes never seen in Middle-Earth!
It's almost like Tolkien is saying to the audience, "There. I've done all I want with them. Now it's your turn to play with them, and here is a brand new playground! Have fun and be nice to them, they're a bit worn!" :)
Silly me, I've already thought of a plot to explain that photo! :D
