Since Frodo is supposed to have written the bulk of LOtR, it stands to reason that Sam must have given his master that marvelous description of him as he lay sleeping in Ithilien, and the even more wonderful, "I love him, whether or no." How tender that descriptive scene would be!

I have imagined this scenario in many different ways, most of them set in Minas Tirith. However, no matter how beautiful a private courtyard or chamber in the White City might be, nothing would equal a secluded nook in the Bag End garden for comfort and security as Sam opens his heart to his captivated master.

Admittedly, that carven stone bench looks more like an old couch, and Frodo should be taking his notes on a piece of parchment rather than writing directly in the Red Book! ^_^;
